7 Card High Low Split, while almost never played in land-based poker rooms, is widely available online. Played with the same basic rules as 7 Card Stud and using the same low rules as Omaha/8, it is fairly easy to learn if you play the other two games.
7 Card Stud High Low Split is played with 2 to 8 players and follows the same playing sequence as 7 Card Stud. Each player places an ante and receives two cards face down and one card face up. The lowest card places a forced bet called the "bring in" and play continues to the left. There is three more cards dealt face up to each player with each one followed by a round of betting. The seventh card is dealt face down to each player and the final betting round is completed. Just like 7 Card Stud, after the first betting round the action starts with the player showing the best high hand each round and the last three betting rounds are at the higher limit.
After the final betting round, each player shows his or her hand and the pot is awarded. There is almost always a qualifier of 8 or better for a low hand to qualify. If there is a low hand, the pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand.
