Pacific Poker Review

Pacific Poker is the poker room of one of the oldest gambling sites online, Casino-On-Net and 888.com. They also are one of the top sites in regard to players at peak hours with over 8,000. Known for some of the softest Texas holdem games online, there are always full tables at all limits as well as plenty of around the clock action in Omaha and 7 Card Stud. The software appears a little dated at first inspection, but once you start using it, it is just as good as most rooms. They offer a free download as well as play money tables to test the software or practice you favorite games. The lobby is well designed with the ring game tab on the left and tournament tab to the right. Once you click on the regular games tab you can then choose from Texas holdem, Omaha, Omaha/8, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud high / low. If you click on the tournaments tab you can then choose between sit-n-go, satellite and multi table tournaments. The games can be sorted by players, wait, hands per hour, flop percentage, average pot and stakes. Once seated at a table, the action buttons are clearly marked and located at the bottom of the screen in the center. The amount in the pot is displayed at all times and you may keep notes on your opponents. There is also a feature that allows you to chat with your opponents, but unlike most rooms you must click on the chat button to open it.

Texas holdem is offered in limit with blinds from .05/.10 to 30/60 and in pot limit / no limit with buy-ins from 10 to 200. Omaha and Omaha/8 are both offered in limit from .05/.10 to 30/60 and 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud high / low split are offered in limit from .05/.10 to 15/30.

Pacific Poker also offers plenty of tournament action every day of the week. There are sit-n-go’s for 2, 5, 6, 10 and 20 players with buy-ins ranging from 2.20 up to 215 around the clock. Multi table tournaments are available with buy-ins from .50 to 110. Some of the highlights include a 10,000 guaranteed every day, a 100,000 guaranteed every week and 30,000 guaranteed multiple times a week.

One last point, the micro limit tables (tables under .50/1) at Pacific Poker are some of the most active available on the Internet and are a great place to transition from play money tables to real money tables. Without risking much money you can get experience playing for real money and work out any bugs in your game.

When you add the availability of play money tables, micro limit tables, tournament action and the softness of most of the holdem games, you get a great place to play poker. Give Pacific Poker a try today!

Pacificpoker is a very nice site when it comes to win money for me but their software could be improved in many ways. (i play here when.. i'm too drunk to play well) My favourite poker rooms are Partypoker and Absolute - good poker games selection and players.. that sometimes call to often :) Intercasino poker is also very good...
