Poker Games
Texas Hold'em
If you ever watch The World Poker Tour or The World Series Of Poker on television, the odds are that the game you were watching is Texas holdem. Here is a quick guide to help you learn the rules and how to play.
Omaha
Omaha high is an interesting form of poker, closely related to Texas holdem, with one big difference. It is a popular variation of poker with the majority of play based in Europe. Here is a quick tutorial to help you learn how to play Omaha high and the rules of the game.
Omaha Hi-Lo
The second most popular variation of poker behind Texas holdem is Omaha/8. Often called Omaha high / low or Omaha high / low split, it is played exactly like Omaha high except that the final pot is often split between the high and the low hand. This can be very confusing to new players so here are the basic rules and playing sequence.
7 Card Stud
7 Card Stud was the most popular variation of poker for many years but has been replaced by Texas holdem in most poker rooms. 7 Card Stud is played differently from holdem and Omaha as there are no community cards. Each player receives his or her own cards to form their best hand. Here is a quick guide to the rules and playing sequence.
7 Card Stud Hi-Lo
7 Card High Low Split, while almost never played in land-based poker rooms, is widely available online. Played with the same basic rules as 7 Card Stud and using the same low rules as Omaha Hi-Lo, it is fairly easy to learn if you play the other two games.
