PokerRoom.com Review

In addition to all of the other features and benefits that we will be discussing shortly, the biggest selling point for Pokerroom is that their software is available as a no download poker room. This means that you can play on any computer with an Internet connection without a lengthy download and you can even play on a Mac. Of course they also offer a full download version that offers a few more features, but if you play the no download version you won’t notice any differences to game play than you would at any full download room. Pokerroom first offered multi player poker online in 1999, making them one of the oldest poker rooms on the Internet. With close to 10,000 players at peak hours, they are easily one of the top ten sites in terms of traffic, with some reporting them within the top five.

If you decide to use the download version, it is available free and is unique and user friendly. Once you enter the lobby you choose between ring games and tournaments by clicking one of the tabs at the top. Then there are tabs available to choose your favorite game like Texas holdem or Omaha and then you can split your choices again into limit and no-limit/pot-limit action. The tables can be sorted by number of players and table stakes. Statistics such as average pot size, hands per hour and percentage of players to see the flop are available by clicking on each table. Once you are seated at a table, the amount in the pot is displayed on the table at all times and the action buttons are at the bottom of the screen. Pokerroom has one of the best systems in place to help you follow the action at the table as the person who’s turn it is to act is highlighted in yellow. Like most rooms, there is an option to chat with your opponents at the table. A unique feature is the ability to rate your opponents by color-coding them based on their playing style. By doing this, you can quickly see the players you have rated each time you sit at a table.

Texas holdem is offered in limit with blinds from .25/.50 to 100/200 and in no-limit with blinds from .25/.25 up to 100/100. Omaha/8 and Omaha are both available in limit from .25/.50 to 25/50 and in pot-limit from .50/.50 to 2/2. 7 Card Stud high / low split and 7 Card Stud are available in limit only from 1/2 to 25/50. In addition to all of the traditional poker games above, you can also enjoy casino games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Pai Gow, Baccarat, Craps, Let It Ride, Video Poker, Poker Slots, Fruit Slots, Skeet Shooter and Cowboy Slots.

In tournament action, PokerRoom runs over 20 multi table tournaments every day with buy-ins ranging from 5.50 to 320 including at least a 20,000 guaranteed tournament every day. There are also 5 and 10 person sit-n-go tournaments with buy-ins from 5.50 to 108 running 24 hours a day.

There are play money tables available to learn the software and practice your poker skills. Pokerroom is also one of the few poker rooms that offer play money sit-n-go tournaments, so you can practice your skills at one of the most popular tournament structures.

With all of the unique features and benefits combined with the no download software option, Pokerroom. Log on should be highly recommended and given a try today!
